Description

Add an alarm with keyless entry to your 1982-92 Camaro or Firebird. Uses a modern, state of the art Compustar CM2500 alarm system and then we eliminate all the unneeded wires and complexity for an easier alarm install. In addition to keyless entry the system includes an ignition disable relay, an impact/tilt sensor, multi-tone siren (can also do horn honk) with 3rd gen specific detailed instructions. System includes everything you will need to remotely lock/unlock your doors and you can add an optional trunk release relay if your car has the trunk release button. Your car must have power locks and they must be currently working for this kit to work. Included is also a small & compact multi-tone siren that can be mounted in the engine compartment or inside the car (high pitched noise will make a thief want to leave in a hurry). Includes two compact remotes, up to 4 remotes can be added to the system.

Product Includes: Keyless/alarm brain, 2 remotes, shock/tilt sensor, starter disable, siren and needed wiring

    Best add-on

Posted by Nathan on Aug 14th 2023

Was getting the alarm kit after my 92 bird was broken into. Ended up getting the keyless entry and trunk release since it wasn't much more wiring. Gotta say it's well worth it. The added convenience of not having to fumble for keys or different keys makes getting into and away from the car so much easier. More convenient for passengers not having to wait to get in either. Took maybe an hour to install but I also called with questions to make sure everything went well and it works as it should. If I buy another 3rd gen or older I'd install this on every one of them. The instructions provided are what made this so great, very detailed and each wire connection was explained so well. 11/10 recommend to buy

    Simple Alarm Installation

These thirdgen cars never came with a keyless entry system, and while getting on online (off say ebay) can be relatively cheap. It is nothing compared to the detailed instructions that come with this kit. While those cheap systems may be wired up correctly, it is very easy to get lost and confused with the minimal instructions and lack of understanding to the factory wiring looms. The Screaming Chicken keyless entry module has each harness individually labeled and color coded for easy application, along with detailed instructions on where on the car to tie into, what color the wire you're looking for, and what action the wire strand actually does. I opted for the trunk release option as well, and found it extremely simple to tie into my existing trunk release button. I highly recommend this system, the costumer support was extreme well recieved when I hit a snag with my limited wiring knowledge. It has everything you could possibly ask for out of a modern keyless entry system.
