UMI’s 2664 aluminum body mounts are a direct replacement for worn out 1970-81 Camaro/Firebird factory body mounts and are used to restore the body location to factory position. Worried about a harsh ride? Don't be - GM's engineers did away with bushings altogether in the 3rd gen Camaro when they realized bushings weren't necessary! These aluminum body mounts are great for handling or drag race cars as they give the car a crisp, responsive feel while reducing subframe movement. These CNC turned body mounts fit nicely and look great with a black anodized finish. Hardware included. Mounts are marked for location to make an easier install.
Solid Body Mounts stiffen the connection between the front subframe and the Rear unibody structure. During heavy cornering and braking, the factory rubber bushings flex giving an unresponsive and unprecise feel. Solid mounts increase the rigidity to allow the suspension to better control the handling of the car. UMI Performance body mounts feature and interlocking design to ensure the mounts do not move and change the alignment of the vehicle.
