Description
Modern LED front turn signal bulbs for 1970-81 Camaros and Firebirds. LED bulbs have less power draw and run cooler making life easier on your wiring. We sell 3 different bulb options for the turn signals, the HP11 and XP80 are brighter than stock bulbs for better visibility. Camaros & Firebirds can use LED flashers instead of resistors on each light, swap flasher and led bulbs will operate like normal. We can add flashers to your order or you can use your own if they are the correct type. Email us if you have any questions. All bulbs offered below light up amber for running lights (front) and turn signal (front & rear). Since they light up amber they work great with a clear or smoked lens. They are made by Diode Dynamics and have a 3 year warranty.
Available in 4 different bulb varieties:
Diode Dynamics HP48 - Brighter with more leds contained the bulb plus a cleaner amber output and less electrical draw.
Diode Dynamics HP11 - Brighter output compared to the HP48. These bulbs have side and forward facing leds in the bulb for brighter output and more coverage.
Diode Dynamics Switchback Bulbs - These bulbs have a unique feature, they light up white when your running lights are on and then switch to amber with the turn signals. Similar brightness as the HP11 bulbs when amber.
Diode Dynamics XP80 - Brightest LED bulb available, big improvement over stock or other led bulbs. Similar design as the HP11 except with more leds per bulb for the brightest output of all the options.
All Diode Dynamics bulbs have a 3 year warranty, free replacement for a failure during that time.

Why do my turn signal indicators both light up when using LED turn signal bulbs?
The front side marker bulbs are part of the wiring circuit so they also need to be changed to led, but if you use a non-polarity type bulb you will also have the same problem. We use a Diode Dynamics SMD2 amber bulb for installs here, available in the options.
Why are my turn signals too fast or don't work at all when I switch to LED bulbs?
LED bulbs have a lower resistance so older mechanical style flasher relays won't work with them. There are actually 3 different types of LED flashers that can work on cars depending on what your car needs. The flasher we sell will work for all 3 types - no load flasher, no load with a ground wire or no load with polarity reverser & ground wire. Works best to try the no load with a ground wire first, then if your turn signals flash very slow or not at all use the polarity reverser. Mostly cars with Painless or American Auto Wire fuse boxes will need the polarity reverser. Either way you will have everything you need without waiting on more parts.
