JBL Stage3 968M Rear Speakers

Upgrade the rear audio in your classic F-body with this pair of JBL Stage3 968M 6x9-inch speakers. Tested to fit the rear speaker locations in 1967–1981 Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, and Trans Am coupes, these shallow three-way speakers provide improved bass, clearer vocals, and detailed high-frequency sound without interfering with the original rear trim. Will not fit convertibles.

With a mounting depth of less than 3 inches, the JBL Stage3 968M speakers install in the rear package-tray speaker locations of 1967–1981 coupes. The speakers include removable JBL grilles. Use the included grilles for exposed rear-deck installations or install the speakers without the grilles when they are concealed behind the vehicle’s original speaker covers.

JBL Stage3 968M speakers combine a 6x9-inch woofer with integrated high-frequency drivers in a three-way coaxial design. This provides a wider frequency range than a basic two-way replacement speaker. JBL’s Plus One™ woofer-cone architecture provides more cone surface area than conventional speakers of a similar size. The laser-etched woofer cone is reinforced with 10% glass fiber for improved rigidity and stronger low-frequency output. A PEI balanced-dome tweeter provides clear, evenly distributed high frequencies.
