1982-1992 Camaro Hood Hinge to Firewall Brace

GM installed a stamped steel brace that goes from the hood hinge to the firewall on 1982-92 Camaros, we made a better-looking version. Replace the plain factory stamped-steel support in your third-generation Camaro with this Screaming Chicken Hood Hinge-to-Firewall Brace. Designed for 1982–1992 Chevrolet Camaro models, the aluminum radius-rod brace gives the engine bay a cleaner, more customized appearance while retaining the factory-style hood-hinge-to-firewall connection.

Choose from black anodized aluminum, satin-black powder coat, or gloss-red powder coat to complement your Camaro’s engine compartment. The aluminum brace can also be repainted or powder coated in a custom color.

Stainless steel installation hardware is included for corrosion resistance and a finished appearance. Each kit also includes two washer styles—black anodized and polished aluminum—allowing you to select the look that best matches your engine bay.

Firebird fitment note: Third-generation Firebird and Trans Am models have mounting holes in this area, although many were not originally equipped with the factory brace. Confirm Firebird and Trans Am compatibility before ordering.
