1970-81 Firebird Dakota Digital VHX Gauges (Black Alloy w/White Illumination)

Upgrade your 1970–1981 Pontiac Firebird or Trans Am with the Dakota Digital VHX-70P-FIR-K-W Gauge Cluster. Designed for second-generation F-body models, this bolt-in instrument system combines five analog gauges with two LCD message centers while retaining the classic appearance of the factory dashboard.

The black alloy gauge faces feature fixed white illumination, fully illuminated needles, and backlighting for clear daytime and nighttime visibility. Two LCD message centers provide configurable vehicle information and modern features such as a low-fuel warning, turn-signal-on indicator, 0–60 time, high-speed recall, and clock display.

Microprocessor-controlled stepper motors and solid-state sensors provide accurate, responsive readings. The system uses a central control box to simplify wiring, configuration, and installation.

The VHX speedometer can operate from the original mechanical speedometer signal using the included adapter. It can also be configured for an electronic speed signal or an optional GPS speed sender.

Bezel requirement: This system installs in the vehicle’s original dashboard bezel. The bezel, trim, and fascia are not included.

Illumination note: This configuration has a black alloy background with white illumination. The illumination color is fixed and cannot be changed.
