1970-78 Camaro/Firebird Detroit Speed 12.7:1 Steering Box

Fits 1970-78 Camaro/Firebird with no modification to the steering box or the frame. All-new steering gear unit not a rebuilt. The Detroit Speed quick ratio (12.7:1) steering gearbox provides modern late-model steering performance similar to a rack & pinion with easy bolt-in installation on 1970-78 Camaros & Firebirds. This steering box can replace the GM/Delphi 800 series or GM/Delphi 600 series power steering box. It has a raw unpainted finish. Original power steering pitman arm may be used. You will need a 3/4-inch x 30-spline (3-1/4" OD) rag joint, metric bolts and O-ring style power steering hoses (links at bottom of description).

Can be used on 1979-81 Camaros & Firebirds with no changes. Will not fit 1982-92 Camaros & Firebirds without modifications.
