Description
New rear license plate light housing repair plate, bulb and socket set for 1970-73. Includes (1) repair plate for back of housing, (1) Bulb and (1) socket with lead wire. The repair plate comes pre-drilled with a hole for the socket and two holes for rivets or sheet metal screws. Rivets are included or you can use sheet metal screws if you prefer. Replacement socket uses a 194 bulb which is easier to find that the stock bulb size, also easy to upgrade to led. The new socket also has a a ground wire so you get a much more consistent power. Starting in 1974 GM used a ground wire on almost all lighting for this reason. With a ground wire you also don't need to worry about paint or rust on the license plate light housing. This includes everything for one of the two lights on the car and doesn't include the housing. See the link below for a complete kit:
